"Logan..." I'm about to do the stupidest thing ever.
"Yes?" Logan pandang aku. Aku masih nampak sisa senyuman dia lepas dia ceritakan pasal the soldier daddy thingy. Aku biarkan dia tertanya2 apa yg aku nak bagitahu sekejap lagi. He lifts his brow showing me more and more of his dreamy, oceany blue eyes that makes me wanna dive into that deep ocean.
"Um... you said you just quit your job right?" aku tak nak straight to the point sebab otak aku masih ligat rancang ayat gramatis level cikgu sastera.
"Yea, why?"
"Do you have any plans?"
"No. Why?" Logan cuba emphasise perkataan 'why'. Now I really made him tertanya2.
"Oh, I was wondering if you want to be my travel partner. I get bored when travel alone." Aku tipu dia. Padahal sejak umur aku 18 tahun lagi aku dah start travelling sorang2. Mummy dgn daddy tak kisah sebab diorg tahu aku pandai jaga diri. The only thing mummy won't let me do is to travel to Malaysia. Aku tak tahulah kenapa besar sgt dendam mummy pada ayah dan mak dia kat sana sampai aku nak travel je pun dia tak kasi. And of course, apa je benda mummy tak kasi aku buat, aku nak buat. Tapi kaki aku masih belum jejak Malaysia.
"Really?" I can see the joy in his eyes. I can feel his inner self jumping around like a little boy who got the perfect gift for Christmas. "But... I'm short of cash. I just quit..."
"I'll buy you tickets. And hotels. And meals and everything. Don't worry. It's like I'm hiring you to be my travel partner."
"What? I can't let you do that. People can hire a travel partner?"
"Don't worry. Just imagine I'm your friend who has a mansion in Spain." Aku mula tarik tangan dia untuk masuk ke office lapangan terbang. Yes, I can do everything online but I have a friend here that'll make things easier.
"Germany," he corrected me.
"Yes. Germany."
"If you don't mind, can I ask you something? Um... where exactly are we going?" aku lepaskan tangan dia bila wajah kawan aku muncul dari pintu kaca itu.
"No idea."
"You're crazy."
"I take that as a compliment. Thank you."
"I was complimenting you."
Aku tak layan dia dan teruskan berbual dengan kawan aku, Mike. Lepas setengah jam berbual, aku pergi tengok Logan yang sibuk berbual dengan seorang nenek tua di sebelahnya.
"Hey." Aku tegur dia.
"Rae, this is Cindy." aku hulurkan tangan utk bersalaman dgn Cindy. Dia tengok aku sambil senyum lebar. Apa yang si Logan cerita pun aku tak tahu.
"You're a very beautiful girl. And young too. I love seeing young couples like you two spending time together."
I gave Logan the look; what did you tell to this poor woman?!
"Where are you two going?"
Belum sempat aku nak jawab soalan Cindy, Logan lagi cepat buka mulut.
"We are going to our honeymoon."
*bitter smile*
"Oooh. Have a great time, okay," Cindy lambai lalu beredar. I can hear Logan's soft laugh. I was gonna give him a punch on the arm, but that laugh is just enough to make me feel a bit calm.
"So, where are we having our honeymoon?" Logan pops the question and I gave him the postponed punch.
"I give you a clue; small country, good culture, magnificent cuisine."
"Is it one of the country in the south east? Thailand? Singapore?"
"Malaysia."
