Legal (Pt 2)

"Rae, you wanna come with us this Saturday? Come on. You've been so busy lazing around. Just trust us. This Saturday is gonna be great. We'll have drinks, meet people, get drunk," Nate selalu ajak aku pergi parti tiap Sabtu. But I prefer cuddling in my bed watching movies than to go out and meet people. Itulah dia. Aku tak suka bergaul dengan orang. Sejak aku kecik lagi aku sangat memilih nak cari kawan. Setakat ini, Nate dan Beth jelah yang menepati citarasa aku.

"I don't know. I'll think about it."

"You're such a loner, you know? Go out there. You can't live like this forever." Itulah Beth. Dia dah macam mak aku. Dia selalu nak yang terbaik untuk aku. Tapi dia tahu aku jenis keras kepala. Aku takkan senang2 dengar cakap dia. Mesti ada je aku nak bantah.

"We better get going. See you soon, Rae. Take care." Nate dan Beth pergi dari kafe aka tempat lepak kitorang pagi2 tiap hari. Diorang mula kerja pukul 8, habis kerja pukul 5. Selama 9 jam itulah aku ditinggalkan tanpa hala tuju. Biasanya aku suka tengok wayang sorang2. Kadang2 aku pergi wall climbing. Ataupun aku shopping.

Tapi hari ni setan malas aku merasuk tubuh aku sampai aku nak bangun balik ke apartmen aku pun rasa tak terdaya. Aku pun mula scroll Instagram mana tahu ada inspirasi untuk aku mulakan aktiviti baru.

"Excuse me?" Aku pandang tuan punya suara bila ditegur.

"Yes?"

"Do you mind if I seat here? Because there's no seat left." Aku sekadar tersenyum dan sambung scroll Instagram.

"Are you a backpacker?" lelaki tadi cuba nak berbual. Being a polite person as I am, I smiled and answered. Walaupun aku rasa annoyed dengan lelaki ni.

"No. I live around here. Why you asked?" aku fikir, sekali sekala bergaul dengan dunia luar ok jugak apa salahnya.

"Oh, nothing. You just seem so relaxed. Is it your day off?"

"I'm not working." Hm. Aku tak tahu macam mana nak jelaskan kat dia yang aku ni sebenarnya menganggur.

"Oh, you're married?"
Aku gelak. Ada kata perempuan macam aku ni dah kahwin? Tak logic.

"No. I just, you know, not working," aku balas sambil senyum. Well, it's not that bad meeting new people.

"I understand. I have a friend just like you. His parents are crazy rich. They have a mansion in Germany. How crazy is that?" aku mula nampak dia selesa berbual dengan aku.

"Wow. He's lucky."

"Not really. He's lonely. He don't have any siblings and always get into fights and all. What bout you? You have a mansion too?"

"No no. I travel a lot. But I've been lazing in my apartment for a month now. I just don't feel like going anywhere right now. How bout you? What are you doing here on Monday morning?"
Entah macam mana aku mula seronok berbual dengan lelaki ni.

"Oh, I quit my job two days ago. But I'm starting my new job next month. I was planning to spend this morning by myself. Didn't expect to meet you here."

"Oh, sorry." Aku sedikit hampa bila dia kata begitu.

"What? No. What I meant was that I'm very lucky to meet you. I hate spending time alone."

"Wow. Really? You must have a lot of friends."

"Yeah... oh, I'm sorry. I'm Logan." Dia menghulurkan tangan.

"I'm Raisya. You can call me Rae." Aku pun sambutlah salam dia.

Then I thought, I like this man-- you know, to be my friend.
