Legal (Pt 6)

"Here we are. Hello, Malaysia!" Logan is being energetic. Aku pulak masih mamai sebab tidur last minute. But Logan's excitement is infectious. Aku jadi segar bila tengok dia menggeliat sana sini.

"Do you know where we really are?" Aku tanya Logan sambil tersenyum nyindir.

"Nope. Not a clue. But I don't care because I trust you." And now he's gazing me with his warm blue eyes. Stop lah Logan. Stop.

"We're in Penang."

Logan tak jawab. Dia cuma senyum je. Aku tarik tangan dia so he would walk. Kalau tak sampai esok aku tenung dia, dia tenung aku. Satu apa pun tak jadi.

"Where are we going?" Logan tanya. Aku tengok jam dah dekat pukul 7 pagi. Tapi tu time zone new york. Kat malaysia dah nak pukul 8 malam. Terasa jetlag aku.

"Are you hungry?" aku tanya Logan. Aku tau dia excited tapi dia nampak penat. Aku tak tahulah dia penat ke lapar.

"Not really. We had salmon in the plane and I think I'm full. What's your plan?"

"I think we should go and check in. You look damn tired."

He just smiles. I can tell- he's relieved. Penat betul ni. Poor, Logan.

So kitorang naik cab and head to our hotel. Bila masuk cab, masing2 melayan perasaan. Aku tak taulah dia awkward dengan aku ke ataupun dia penat sangat sampai tak larat nak cakap. Aku pun penat semacam. Mana taknya. 19 jam kot dalam kapal terbang. But 19 hours in business class was good. I cannot imagine 19 hours of economy class.

"Have you traveled anywhere?" I ask him to break the silence.

"Hmm... I've been to London with my family. But we were visiting my aunt. She just graduated there and invited us to celebrate. We didn't really travel. But it was fun though."

I just love when he talks. He's so... charismatic, I shall say. Cara dia cakap tu sangat honest. Bila dia cerita, aku jadi macam budak kecik tgh dengar bedtime story.

Nate and Beth must be informed about this wonderful guy. He's just too... wonderful.

And finally lepas 10 minutes of silence, sampai jugak hotel. Dengan langkah yang longlai, kitorang tetap menabahkan diri masuk hotel. Tengah aku jalan baru aku perasan Logan takde sebelah aku. Aku toleh belakang.

"What?" aku tanya dia. Tak pahamlah aku dengan mamat ni. Entah kenapa tetibe berhenti tengah jalan.

"We're staying here?"

"Yes. Why?"

"Hard Rock?"

"You don't like it?"

"No, no. I do love it. But it's so not you. I mean... you know."

Aku ketawa tengok Logan trying to find his words. Damn, he's hot.

Aku dah tak larat nak tanya dia kenapa aku terus pergi reception untuk check in. Then I saw my face in the mirror. I gaped at myself. Muka aku memang macam ni ke dari tadi?!

"Hello, Miss. Can I help you?"

"Yes. Do you have any rooms for two?"
Aku tengok receptionist depan aku. She's a bit short. Beautiful. Has brown skin. And look very cheerful. And I'm ashamed of my condition. I look like I just had a brawl.

"We have the Kings Club Seaview Deluxe and the Kings Suite. Both offers a room with a king bed."

"You don't have any rooms with two single beds?" my voice sounds a bit pissed. Mana tak. Aku dah lah penat. Takkan aku nak tidur sekatil dengan Logan pulak.

It's not like I've never slept with a guy. I slept with my exes. Tapi Logan ni aku baru kenal tak sampai seminggu.

"I'm very sorry, Miss. We're all out of rooms with single beds."

"I can sleep on the sofa." Entah bila masa so Logan ni muncul tepi aku. I look him in the eyes. Really, Logan? Kau sanggup tidur atas sofa? How sweet.

"We'll take the Kings Suite."
